2026 January Recap

February 3, 2026

This month flew by so quickly. I kept adding "January planning" to my todo list every week, but then I kept pushing it back, and then suddenly I realized it was February and January had just slipped from my fingers. 😅

I always feel like I'm not doing enough each month, so recaps really help me see that I'm making some progress, and help me remember all the good moments as well.

Note: I started tracking some of these things near the end of 2025, so this recap includes a little bit of December as well.

books 📖

One of my goals this year is to "slow down and absorb" when reading, instead of rushing my way through books.

365 Days With Self-Discipline — I think I started this a few years ago but didn't end up finishing it; however, I hope to go through the whole thing this time!

Make Time — I also read this a few years ago (or skimmed it, I think); this time I want to take my time with it and really absorb what's inside

games played 🎮

Fae Farm — of course I played this again! I think I finished the complete main storyline now...

Tiny Isle — a newly released game I've been enjoying, building my own little island

Detective Grimoire — I haven't finished a lot of games, but this one I did!

Merge Adventure: Magic Dragons — I always find these addicting for some reason

other 🌟

⭐ named on the SNHU President's List for fall 2025

⭐ played Syllo on Reddit and got in the top 99% a few times 😄

⭐ slept with my phone outside my bedroom the whole month

⭐ did a whole computer science exam in Hebrew 🤧 (it didn't go well, but that's that lol)

things I'm thankful for 🙌

  • My computer science exam could've gone worse. 🫣
  • I didn't get sick this month!

on my mind 💭

  • Because I have so much on my plate, it feels like I keep dropping the ball in different areas of my life. It's like a nightmarish juggling rotation in which there's always a few different balls I lose track of and am scrambling to pick up again.

And that's it for this month!
